The New Mexico Board of Examiners for Architects (NMBEA) is charged with the duty to “safeguard the life, health, and property and to promote public welfare” by reviewing evidence of professional qualification of any person applying to practice architecture in this state. In addition, the agency has the duty to regulate the architectural profession and otherwise enforce the provisions of the New Mexico Architectural Act.
