Governor Richardson's statewide coordinators, better known as “Czars” oversee and manage New Mexico’s efforts in Behavioral Health, Domestic Violence and DWI. The Czars coordinate the many varied, and sometimes
redundant, services, programs, and funding sources that deal with these important issues. One person in each area manages, coordinates, and most
importantly, is accountable for making these efforts effective.
