Infrastructure Advisor
Seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and outgoing policy professional to serve in the newly-created role of Infrastructure Advisor in the Governor’s office. The Infrastructure Advisor will coordinate among federal and state agencies and local government entities to execute on the Governor’s vision for enhanced infrastructure investments statewide.
The Infrastructure Advisor will report directly to the Chief of Staff and will develop policy proposals to expand infrastructure investments across New Mexico. The Infrastructure Advisor will spend some time traveling the state to hear directly from local communities about their infrastructure needs. The Infrastructure Advisor will work closely with cabinet secretaries and agency staff in order to both develop policy ideas and to help catalyze specific initiatives and projects. The Infrastructure Advisor will selectively represent the administration in public forums and in the media.
Strong candidates will have at least ten years of relevant work experience and will possess a solid understanding of financial concepts, a grounding in state budget and financial policy, and excellent communications skills.
