State government rapid hire concludes with nearly 3,700 applicants interviewed
Over 500 people received on final day
ALBUQUERQUE – The office of Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced Saturday that the state government rapid hire event concluded after receiving and interviewing 3,685 people over the course of four days.
“I am absolutely thrilled and incredibly encouraged by the amazing turnout at our rapid hire event,” Gov. Lujan Grisham said. “It’s clear from the incredible response that people are excited about joining state government. Fostering a positive workplace culture and continuing to build a state government that thrives in its service to the people of New Mexico is of top importance to me, and I’m so glad that so many New Mexicans want to join us in our work.”
Applicants were interviewed both in person at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque and remotely via video conference at Workforce Connection offices statewide.
Day one: 1,315 applicants
Day two: 1,100 applicants
Day three: 743 applicants
Day four: 527 applicants
