SANTA FE – The Office of Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on Monday announced she will solicit applications for the District 3 Bernalillo County Commission seat. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 20. The seat is vacant after the appointment of Maggie Hart Stebbins as the state’s Natural Resources Trustee. Applicants must be a resident of District 3. The governor’s appointee will serve the remainder of Hart Stebbins’ term, which expires in 2020. The governor will appoint an individual who will not seek the seat in the 2020 election so as to allow the voters of the district to choose their county representative for themselves.
