Governor seeks nominees for Valencia County Commission

Jan 7, 2020 | Press Releases

SANTA FE – The Office of Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham on Tuesday announced she is soliciting applications for the District 2 Valencia County Commission seat. The seat is vacant after the resignation of David Carlberg. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 13. Applicants must be residents of District 2. The governor’s appointee will serve the remainder of Carlberg’s term, which expires in 2020. The governor will appoint an individual who will not seek the seat in the 2020 election so as to allow the voters of the district to choose their county representative for themselves. Applicants are asked to send a resume and letter of interest to Director of Boards and Commissions Melissa Salazar at melissa.salazar3@state.nm.us.
